Necrogami

So i’ve been using Redmine and it is a great software don’t get me wrong.

I have 2 complaints:

1. It’s Wicked Sluggish
2. It takes up Alot of CPU when processing.

I’ve been around alot of applications. I’ve never seen any take up 80+% of the cpu when compiling pages. So after talking with dustin i’m deciding to rewrite it into PHP it may not have exactly every feature but for the most part i’m gonna work on stripping redmine apart and rewriting it into something that would be a bit easier to install and run. Wish me luck.

Onto other news. The band practiced yesterday wasn’t bad but there could be alittle less goofing around. Something they complained about last time was other people. And yet again other people that just wanted to joke around. I am there to try and get better so that we can get the word out to other people but don’t get me wrong. Goofing and joking around with people is fine. Just in moderation.

Enough of that. So hopefully i’ll get one of these jobs that i’m interviewing for tomarrow if i get the second one. Hopefully they will work with my religious schedule since i am gone the second sunday of every month during the summer and i don’t want to miss this.

So dustin and i have been working on getting phpLogic off the ground again.
It’s going well. Got the Wiki, and Project Management systems setup today.

Installed Ruby on Rails on the plesk server and got the Subversion directory managed now.

Running Redmine Project Management system.
It’s a Ruby on Rails application which isn’t my first choice but in the end it is clean and pretty nice.

RoR is a bit slugish and resource heavy.  So i may take the design and turn it into a php application.

Time will tell.

Otherwise i talked to an old buddy from hs today and found out that he and i both know some friends just from different aspects which is cool seeing just how small the world is.

Still around trying to help out my friends through the troubling time she is having struggling with her ended engagement and life without him. I’ll be here for her if she needs me but i’m not going to force it. I’ll let her come to me.

I’m just sitting around listenning to music and thinking about stuff from today.

Oh! I got an email from my buddy jason whom I used to work with. He is working for a company who might be able to offer me a job.  Which would be awesome because it is something. At this point if it puts money in my pocket i’m for it.

So today started pretty early since i didn’t goto bed till 3am.

Woke up at 10am ugh.

Got up and got some food. Looked around online trying to find a job or some work.

Called my buddy in the airport before he left to NY on business.

Went and hungout with HTTT for practice. A new group playing together and a new location to practice.
Trying to learn the new soundboard and how everything is wired is a pain. Especially when it’s not wired in the correct fashion.

Got done with practice and hung out with Mike and Chris till they had to goto work … watched some tv at there house for a bit .. locked up and went home. But at least we got some practice in today. Sounded okay when they were all together. It’ll smooth out with time.

Talked to dustin and he has a way to get our comany out of the red. I can’t wait to actually make profit. That’s step 1. Then onward till we can be financially stable.

Tomorrow l set out to write / find and modify a help desk ticketing system. I think for our purpose’s i’m going to write one so everything is in house.

So i blog basicly was down for a long time and i’m just now restarting to build it.

It should be an interesting time in the comming weeks. Trying to find work, Trying to get phpLogic off the gound.
